Biman Bangladesh Airlines, popularly known as Biman, is the national airlines of Bangladesh. A member of IATA, it flies passengers and cargo to 18 international destinations in Asia and Europe. It goes to most of the destinations directly or via a stopover. Convenient transfer connections from Dhaka to regional destinations are easily available. Biman is reputed for it’s well-trained and dedicated crew with appreciable safety record.

Biman came into being on January 04, 1972 with a a gift of DC-3 aircraft from Bangladesh Air force. Presently Biman has two 737-800, four DC10-30, three A310-300 and three F28-4000 aircraft in it’s fleet. Biman is in the process of procuring more new generation aircraft such as Boeing 777-300ER, 787-8 and 737-800 for it’s fleet.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited invites applications from deserving Bangladeshi and foreign national candidates for appointment as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of the Airline. The Position demands the above requirements:

         
       
   
 


To further strengthen the leadership team to achieve an ambitious growth plan, the airline is looking to get a service of a senior leader who can play a key role in taking the airline to the next level of growth.

The MD & CEO should have the vision and leadership for the development and implementation of company strategy and operation s solutions at the airline in order to improve operational effectiveness and customer service.
 
         
   


Minimum 20 years experience in Aviation Sector including 10 years in a Senior Management Position.
 
 
     


Knowledge of Airline Marketing Techniques

Knowledge of Aviation Agreements and Labor Laws

Demonstrated skills in managing projects of various sizes and fields

Ability to deal and negotiable with other Airlines, Airline Services Providers, Regulators etc.
