The post-holder is responsible for the implementation of the Impact Statement for the Women and Girls achievement of its objectives through: providing strategic guidance and management oversight to the current teams, projects and initiatives grouped in this portfolio implementation and continued development of impact and outcome measurement systems, and establishing evidence base of effective program strategies and models, and regular review and revision of program (impact statement) design identification and development of new initiatives & projects contributing to program impact, in collaboration with PDU leading and managing strategic partnerships and advocacy relating to the impact statement close coordination and collaboration with operational and strategy teams within CARE Bangladesh to ensure learning, and maximize country program cohesion and effectiveness representing projects and initiatives within the Impact Statement portfolio to donors, government and other stakeholders The position also helps develop and learn from empowerment strategies and approaches that can then be applied throughout the Country Office. Provide leadership on women’s empowerment for all work of the CO whether work is part of this portfolio or managed by other senior staff Be part of the senior leadership team of CARE Bangladesh.

         
       
   


Based at CARE Bangladesh Country office, with extensive (upto 50%) travel, as required.
 
 
   


• 10 years progressively senior professional experience in social development, focusing on gender and women’s empowerment
 
 
     


5 years management experience

Bachelors degree required (Masters degree in relevant area desirable)

Demonstrated strong people management skills

Experience in donor liaison, reporting and representation:

Strong financial planning and management skills, including experience of managing multi-year grants and knowledge of donor compliance requirements

Demonstrated understanding of monitoring and evaluation,

Experience in enabling knowledge management and learning within a program or organization

Experience of developing strategic partnerships at national and local level (GoB, NGOs, development partners, social movements etc)

Experience of program design and development desirable
 
 
   
 
Monthly gross salary is Taka 155,400 plus other admissible benefits as are per policy.
