Save the Children has worked in Bangladesh since 1972. Today, our programs help improve the lives and well-being of millions of the country’s poorest and least-served children and families. We work in child rights and protection, education, health, food security and disaster preparedness and response.  This position is to lead the Violence Against Children (VAC) sub-thematic program of the Child Protection sector. VAC is a multi donor program that focuses on prevention of and responding to all forms of violence against children, specially physical and humiliating punishment, child trafficking, sexual and gender based violence and child marriage. Program Director of VAC is responsible to provide overall leadership and strategic management to this sub-thematic program while leading program growth. |

 Masters Degree in Social Sciences/Management (or any other relevant field). |

 At least 10 years of progressive working experience in a relevant field with minimum 5 years in a senior management position in a large & complex program, with contribution to strategic planning, policy and program development. |

 Experience in staff and financial management, good advocacy and interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills both in English and Bangla, good command of Excel, PowerPoint and Word are also pre-requisites.  Technical knowledge on Child Protection and/or social and policy context of Bangladesh related to violence against children is desirable.  Note: This is a re-advertised position.
